Want to buy a mobile phone for Mom, should have good speaker.

Saurabh Kesharwani

Ques. Hi! Shreevats,

Please guide me to buy a mobile phone for my mother.

Basic requirments are:

-It should have a very good in-built speaker for music (previously she had a Nokia X1-01, within 6 months the speaker started sounding funny).

-preferably a single SIM

-good voice quality

-and easy to use.

-price around Rs.5,000/- (it is flexible, can be stretched or reduced).

A good and clear speaker output for music, is an important point to consider.

Please tell me options, from which I may choose.

Thanking You!

Ans. Our choice: Micromax bolt A27 Rs. 3249- loudest speaker and good value for money!

Other options that you can consider...
Intex aqua sx Rs. 3930- good quality hardware and value for money.
Nokia Asha 501 Rs. 4999- Fast user interface and the striking colors will appeal to your mom.

    Hi! Shreevats,

Thank you! For the suggestions you gave. Today I bought the phone Nokia Asha 502, and am happy with the purchase.

However! I want to know one more thing. As the external memory of Nokia Asha 502 is expandable upto 32 gb,

Q.1) if I put a memory card of 16 GB and when the capacity gets full, will this slow the processor or start hanging the OS?

Q.2) Or shall I just put an 8 gb memory card and not extend further?

    Please reply,

    Thanking you!

    1. The capacity of the memory card will not slow down the phone. You can even put a 32gb memory card without any worries. Our recommendation is an original SanDisk memory card for your phone. If the phone lags, you can just clear the temporary internet files and cookies, and you'll be good to go

    2. The phone will become slow only if the phone's inbuilt memory is about to get full.

      Thank you for replying!

The in-built memory of Nokia 502 is 60 mb. Well! In that case shall I keep the in-built memory empty (as much possible) and utilize more space of the external memory card?

      That's how should it be?
