Qualcomm comes up with SnapDragon 805 processor

If you are also of my age then you must be aware about the excitement we use to have when Intel announced the new processors but that era seems to be over as now market is ruled by the Mobile & Tablets which have Qualcomm processors at the core. So now excitement has moved to the Qualcomm for new emerging & faster processors for mobile's and to add up to that excitement Qualcomm has added snapdragon 805 to the list.

So if you are still enjoying the power of snapdragon 800 then Qualcomm has some great news for you as they just unveiled the Snapdragon 805 for mobiles & tablets. The most talked feature on the snpadragon 805 will be the capability for ultraHD video playback so now you will be able to enjoy the ultraHD videos on your devices be it a mobile, tablet or TV. As stated by the Qualcomm the new snapdragon 805 packs the adreno 420 GPU with it for which Qualcomm claims that it has 40% more power then the previous model.

“Using a smartphone or tablet powered by Snapdragon 805 processor is like having an UltraHD home theater in your pocket, with 4K video, imaging and graphics, all built for mobile,” said Murthy Renduchintala, executive vice president, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Well we do believe in him & expects the experience to be pretty awesome.

The Snapdragon 800 successor will also come with Qualcomm’s Gobi MDM9x25 modem that the chipmaker unveiled earlier this year. The modem allows for LTE carrier aggregation and supports LTE 4 speeds of 150 Mbps. Qualcomm also claims that the Snapdragon 805 will come with its most advanced Wi-Fi for mobile yet, the 2-stream dual-band Qualcomm VIVE 802.11ac, which enables the chip to support wireless 4K video streaming and other media intensive applications.

The next gen processor from Qualcomm is expected to bring significant changes to camera performace as well. The Devices running with snapdragon 805 will be out by first quarter of 2014 and we will eagerly waiting for that.
