A few hours ago Lenovo announced it's first 8 inch device that will be based on windows 8.1 that is scheduled to start releasing as an update to existing windows 8 devices. So what does Lenovo has in store to offer, can it kill the woes of windows 8 or now windows 8.1 platform of not having a hardware to match the tuning. Let's Find out.
Since the launch of surface tablet with windows 8 Microsoft is searching for the surface to get it's device to people but none was able to accept it as their primary device. So what went wrong with the software giant that was once the ruler of this software market, maybe their efforts to become the prominent hardware manufacturer & their mistakes of making windows 8 another Vista type mockery by not supplying enough support to OEMs for it's Windows 8 platform. But now as the release of windows 8.1 is around the corner number of OEMs are launching their devices & Lenovo is another one to jump the bandwagon.
Lenovo announced that it's 8 inch device for windows 8.1 will be having Intel's quad-core Bay Trail processor, 8-inch 16:10 display running at 1280 x 800 resolution with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The tablet Comes with a 5 megapixel primary camera & 2 megapixel front camera that will surely looking to exploit the new improved camera features in windows 8.1. Lenovo also included a stylus with a detachable cover that will be giving it a Apple iPad mini type feel.
The tablet will be available in 32 GB & 64GB versions priced accordingly.
Though it doen't have the specification's to blow your mind off but still have decent configuration considering the fluid & easy on the hardware windows 8.1. The tablet will surely give Android counterparts a run for money if launched with a competitive price tag. So are you waiting for it, maybe yes but i m dying to get my hands onto it as the streak to have a windows 8 based tablet with a decent hardware never was never satisfied till date.
