Tech Query: My mom wants to buy a new cell so need suggestions for a good one

Ques: Firstly, great job people! now for a query...my mom wants to buy a new cell so need suggestions for a good one...not so expensive, like about till 6-9k and not touchpad (im suffering wid one already)

Ans: The most important features we look in any phone :
1. Processor & RAM: It determines how your phone works, like whether it is powerful to support multitasking more efficiently and how fast your phone will work. To determine how fast your phone will work see at the clock rate(specified as 600 MHz or 1.2 GHz), the more the clock rate the better or more faster it will respond. RAM (for e.g. 512 MB) also is an important factor which determines the processing speed of your phone. Higher the RAM, smoother will be your browsing, running various applications and gaming experience. So, go for  phones with higher RAM and better Processor.

2.BATTERY LIFE: This is one of the biggest problems in phones nowadays. With so many apps and browsing, we tend to empty the battery of our phones in no times. So, deciding a good battery is very important, otherwise your experience with your phone would be not so good. Go for good mAh rating Li-ion battery phones such as those having atleast 1200-1400 mAh battery. This much rating batteries can easily give you 5-6 hours tack-time and around 12-15 hours stand-by backup.

3.CAMERA : It's an additional feature which everyone needs and it comes handy at different situations where a handi-cam or a digi-cam is not available. If it is one of the important feature for you, than go for 3MP to 5 MP camera as they would be more than sufficient for you to get quality pictures.

4.CONNECTIVITY : Nowadays, we cannot imagine a day without surfing the net. So, connectivity plays a part in your phone selection. There are various ways to connect to internet like 2G, 3G, Wi-fi. Track phones which have all of them or atleast  GPS installed.

5.PRICE : Determine your budget before checking the features, so that you are not lured by phones with loads of features and eventually empties your pocket.

Based on the above parameters we have shortlisted these phones which also include a keypad and will easily fit your budget :
1. Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512 (Rs 8500)[Touch+Type]
2. Blackberry Curve 8520(Rs 8789)
3. Nokia E5-00 (Rs 8929)
These are the online prices, you can get a better deal if you bargain with your local dealer...

  2. First of all thank you for following our blog and for your appreciation, we apologize for not responding to it earlier.
And thanks Adit to remind us of Nokia C3 which resembles Asha 302. The phone is a best seller at the price of Rs 6000. It has all the above features with good battery backup. Also, Nokia C3 has been around in the market for more than a year and has many positive reviews.
So, its the best buy at Rs 6000 from Nokia.
