Infibeam.com has started taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in India. The device has been priced at Rs. 38,500 and will hopefully start shipping to customers from 10th September 2012
The device, Galaxy note 2 is a new category of 'phablet' phones because it can function as a tablet as well as a phone, is powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.6Ghz, has 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32 GB storage with support for SD card, 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a 8MP rear camera, a 1.9MP front camera and a 3100 mAh battery.
The 5.5-inch (14-centimeter) screen is narrower but longer than on the first version. The processor is faster, and the software has been further adapted for the included stylus, the phone's signature feature. The device will come with a stylus and a S Note app that will allow users to take notes in an easy manner. Note 2 runs on Android 4.1 - also called Jelly Bean - that is the latest version of Google operating software for mobile devices.
